September at a glance
What we brought in from August
We leave the summer season filled with vision and inspiration, no small feat in the shifting landscape of our world. This is a wonderful testimony to the resilience of humanity—to our adaptable natures, our holding of hope and our commitment to faith. It’s as if we intrinsically know the chaos is only the process of achieving a new order—the quickest way to realign the intentions of the earth and her inhabitants. And this Knight can be chaotic, not because he is disordered, but because he sees so many possibilities at once—so many ideas, so little time!
What vision(s) did August offer me as it melted into the past?Week 1
We begin the month with the best of intentions to anchor our ideas and make our visions come to life. Maybe we intend to get our blog written and posted, or to organize our filing system, or research that new computer, or to finally have that conversation we’ve been meaning to have with someone close to us. Jupiter gives us big ideas and big energy to implement them. Mercury ruled Gemini asks us to explore these ideas further and jot them down, or communicate them in some way. Our tendency will be to act on our thoughts, and the more we try to get moving, the more we become distracted. This is not a week for concrete sequential activities. Instead, we allow our imaginations to broaden and our curiosity to lead the way. We research, gather information.
Where is my curiosity taking me?Week 2
By the second week we narrow down our options and begin to figure out how we can bring our ideas to life. Mercury’s ingenuity gets a great assist from Saturn (traditional ruler of Aquarius)—he will help organize our thoughts into a plan. We step back from our Jovian attitude of “Whee, anything is possible!” and take a pragmatic view of our intended projects. We can see what is feasible and what isn’t. This is also the time we will imagine how we can imbue our ideas with our own brand of uniqueness. We see our creations as extensions of ourselves, and wonder how our ideas can effect change. We connect with a more cosmic view of humanity and wonder how or what we can contribute to the cause.
What do I have to offer that is uniquely mine?Week 3
The third week fires us up! We may have run our ideas by others, and received overwhelmingly positive responses and encouragement. We are passionate about our projects and the powerful feedback loop of inspiration is activated—we inspire others with our offerings and others in turn fuel our passions and actions. We understand the things we want to do might require a risk, and this Fire Ace gives us courage and confidence. We like this feeling and may want to stay here longer, to revel in the admiration bestowed upon us; but to accomplish anything we must move along.
What am I passionate about?Week 4
The Equinox brings a calming of the frenzy and with the calm comes an awareness of how all he pieces fit together. Vision, intention, and action all move us down the road, closer to our goal. We know we must maintain some degree of balance as we progress so we take a closer look at how projects, or objectives within projects, are weighted. We prioritize and gain a sense of the effects our ideas may have. When we can envision the potential consequences of our actions, we can make adjustments in the planning stages, saving us repetitive steps in the long run. Rather than only having a pragmatic approach, or a passionate approach, we see how the two approaches meld together to create a whole that is truly greater than the sum of its parts.
Where do I need balance in my life? How we end the month
By the month’s end, we are ready to launch. If we choose to adopt the Fool’s trust, we understand the ideas we birthed at the beginning of the month will take form soon, but maybe not exactly as planned. The surprise is in the journey—we cannot anticipate the twists and turns our paths might take as we head toward our envisioned destination. We have outlined an offering that will help bring about change, but how will we be changed in the process?
